Who can become a member ? Where is Carz located ?
Any person,
aged 25 or more, with at least 5 years of a valid driving licence, living
in Switzerland, can apply for memberhsip. Should the application be
considered, an interview will take place, to evaluate if the potentiel
member will fit to the club profile.
Then, depending on your experience with performance cars, you may have
to attend a driving training before being allowed to access the full
range of cars.
Carz is located in Lausanne, with points of presence in Morges and Geneva.
As a member, you can have cars delivered to your place directly, in
the whole Romandie.
If you drive your own vehicle, you can swap it for one of the club's
cars, and leave yours in Carz' secured garage.

These sessions
take place between Morges and Lausanne, except for offers such as Prestige
oder Double Impact that can be taylored to needs.
Any wished scenario can be realized, just contact us for a customized

Why is carz a benefit to the members ?
Quite typically,
a sports- or prestige car stays in the garage 80% of the time... Carz
is building on that principle, by optimizing the usage of the vehicles.
In a nutshell, you pay for what you use, not for the time you leave
the car in the garage. And you don't have ONE sportscar, but MANY to
choose from. Also, you don't have to worry or lose time in maintenance,
reparations, insurances, etc. You also get 400 km / day to drive, which
means you shouldn't have to watch the counters...
Carz is also about being a member of a very exclusive club, with the
associated priviledges.

How long does a membership last ? What do the different membership levels allow ?
Points awarded are valid
2 years from the membership start. Should a member use all his (or her)
points, then he can choose to either buy points, upgrade membership
or simply buy a new package.
V6 is for occasional users or people who want to try out the concept,
and allows for 8 to 15 driving days, depending on the season, date and
type of cars used.
V8 is designed for a relatively high frequency of usage, with 12 to
20 days of usage.
As for V12, it grants hmembers the access to Carz' dream garage as if
it was theirs, usage can be as high as 30 driving days - i.e. more than
most sportscars owners drive in a year.
To the exception that with Carz, you aren't limited to ONE car, but
can access multiple brands and pleasures...

Quelles sont les règles pour l'utilisation des voitures ? y a-t-il des problèmes de réservation ?
La règle
principale est le respect de la mécanique - les voitures sont
un peu la propriété de chacun des membres du club. L'entretien,
l'assurance, les taxes, le parking, le nettoyage, les pneus et
autres pièces d'usure sont pris en charge par carz, ainsi que
d'éventuelles pannes. Seuls les frais d'essence (et d'éventuelles
amendes...) incombent au membre.
Autres points à connaître :
- Circulation possible dans toute l'Europe
- 400 km par jour (Points supplémentaires facturés si
dépassement)
- Le kilométrage est limité annuellement à 6000
km pour un membre Platinum, 4000 km pour Gold et 3000 km pour Silver.
- La cotisation ouvre le garage au membre et à son /sa partenaire,
pourvu qu'il ou elle remplisse les conditions citées plus haut. En
revanche, toute autre personne n'est pas autorisée à prendre
le volant.
Le club est dimensionné pour le taux d'utilisation des voitures
ne dépasse jamais 35% pendant la saison haute. Si ce taux devait
dépasser 35%, une autre voiture serait ajoutée à
la flotte.
Ainsi, en 2006, aucun conflit de réservation n'a eu lieu.
